Fitchburg Family Medicine Residents and Fellows are employees of the University of Massachusetts
Medical School, with thefollowing salaries and benefits:

PGY1 $47,439.00
PGY2 $49,075.00
PGY3 $51,332.00

Health Insurance
· Individual or family coverage
· UMass pays 80% of premium
· Choice of HMO's, PPO's, or indemnity insurance

Dental Insurance
· Family coverage for full-time residents and fellows
· UMass pays 100% of premium; higher level of coverage may be elected for monthly premium

Retirement System
· Massachusetts deducts 9% of salary instead of Social Security (FICA)
· An additional 2% is deducted from earnings over $30,000 per year
· State retirement savings are refundable when residents leave state service
